Olympic Night!

The Washington Park Lawn Bowling Club had an Olympic night at the Lawn. As normal we had a good turnout and fun was had by all.

Lead by Suanne Dell, we had Olympic flags and banners around the Lawn to celebrate the 2012 London Olympics. Suanne also provided a trophy for the best bowler of the night. All players received Olympic medals for participating. She really lifted the night.

The best bowler of the night award went to Ralph Karlberg. Ralph is a long time member and still bowls a strong game at 92. He was a great choice. He also won all his games on Olympic night. Congratulations Ralph! May we have many more years of bowling with you.

As always, Steve cooked up a wonderful spread and everyone pitched in and brought food. Hard to beat a beautiful evening in Washington Park cooking out and lawn bowling! As always, we’ll see you next week.
